On my journey into work everyday I observe the many advertising campaigns that surround me. These change weekly but recently I noticed a clever new gum litter taskforce campaign. It got my attention for its simplistic and clean design.
The heart icon is replicated in the hand design which is the icon for gum and encourages a positive action to the environment. They use this icon and campaign in a emotive way. The positive symbols are appealing to both the eye and audience. Its bright, colourful, clean and simple which are all contrasting to previous campaigns which have used poor design and atmospheres. I feel this positive approach will be more appealing and sell the environmental approach. It shows how identifying the correct campaign atmosphere and emotions helps to build an effective campaign.
